John Skinner Bicentenary Celebration

The 16 June 2007 marks the bicentenary of the death of the Rev. John Skinner (1721-1807) who was, among othere things, a poet and song-writer in the Scots language. He was Episcopal priest at Longside during the period 1742-1807. To mark this bicentenary, an event will be held at St. John's Church, Longside, near Peterhead in Aberdeenshire on Saturday 30 June 2007, beginning 1.30pm and finishing at 5pm. There will be several speakers including Dr. David Bertie, Dr. Colin Milton, Dr. Katherine Campbell and Rev. Canon Dr. Emsely Nimmo.
