William Soutar Walks launch

Categorised in:

Two new walks based on the poetry and places associated with the writer and bard William Soutar are to be launched on Monday 19 November, beginning at the Fergusson Gallery in Perth. The walks will include South Inch Terrace (where Souatar was born in 1898) and the Soutar House (where the family lived from 1924 onwards), along with a few other sites that Soutar wrote about: Craigie Hill, Buckie Braes and others in Perth city centre (including St John's church and the Greyfriars burial ground). The walks, and information about them, have been organised by Perth and Kinross Council and Perth Writer in Residence. For more regarding the life of Soutar or the walks please enquire at library@pkc.gov.uk or phone 01738 44949.
